The EANM is very pleased to announce the fifth Focus Meeting on the topic of prostate cancer. The event will take place in the historic city of Seville, which is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, hospitality and modern appeal.

By re-establishing these Focus Meetings, which are entirely dependent on live interaction and the positive energy this generates, it feels as though we are kick-starting the future today. Tremendous progress has been made over the past few years in the field of theranostics. However, it remains to be seen whether more treatment of this kind is also of greater benefit to our patients. With this question borne in mind, a multidisciplinary group of experts and key opinion leaders from across the globe have been invited to update us on the state-of-the-art in this field, and to take part in consensus discussions.

We are absolutely delighted to present an eminent, international and multidisciplinary faculty consisting of urologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and clinical and basic scientists. They will provide us with updates on the latest developments and future paths forward in the field of prostate cancer imaging and management.

The state-of-the-art for theranostic approaches in hormone sensitive and castration resistant prostate cancer will be presented by our expert faculty. By contrast, the programme will address the entire prostate cancer patient pathway, from staging and restaging to therapy. It will not shy away from areas for which only limited evidence exists currently, or where there is considerable controversy as to what constitutes the optimal approach.

Ultimately, based on the many quality presentations and multidisciplinary discussions, a consensus publication aiming to assist our colleagues working in the field of prostate cancer diagnosis and management will be one of the key results of the fifth Focus Meeting on this subject: “Molecular Imaging and Theranostics in Prostate Cancer – The Future Begins Today”.

Please join us for the EANM Focus Meeting 5, which will be held at the Meliá Sevilla Hotel in Seville, Spain, from February 2 – 4, 2023.
