Words of Welcome

The European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM), the world-leading society for nuclear medicine, molecular imaging and theranostics, is pleased to announce the fourth edition of the EANM Focus Meeting – an annual conference in a new format that will take place in the first months of each year. It will supplement the very successful EANM Annual Congress in October and the educational events organised by EANM/ESMIT.

Haematological tumours have been the backbone of the success of modern nuclear medicine for both molecular diagnostic imaging and innovative new therapies, therefore it is our special pleasure to inform you that the fourth EANM Focus Meeting will be on “Molecular Imaging and Therapy in Haematological Tumours”.
The treatment and care of patients with haematological tumours is truly multidisciplinary. Accordingly, at the EANM Focus Meeting, a multidisciplinary group of experts and opinion leaders from all over the world will present state of the art lectures and participate in consensus panels.

We are very pleased that a large faculty of haematologists, oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, clinical and basic scientists and patient-advocates has agreed to lecture and participate in the discussions. The aim of the meeting is to provide an in-depth overview and critical assessment of the latest development and future directions in the management of haematological tumours including lymphomas, multiple myelomas and beyond with a focus on the role of imaging and therapy in general and nuclear medicine in particular. Based on the conference’s results, a consensus statement will be produced. As the lectures and discussions will be at an advanced level and will not aim to provide basic overviews and education, the meeting will be particularly advantageous to clinicians who are already engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of haematological tumours.

You are cordially invited to attend the fourth EANM Focus Meeting in the Meliá Sevilla Hotel in Seville, Spain, on February 03 – February 05, 2022. Registrations are limited to 250 participants and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so please reserve your attendance as soon as possible.

We hope to welcome you to the beautiful city of Seville in early 2022 for the fourth edition of this exciting EANM initiative.

With best personal regards,
Jolanta Kunikowska and Ken Herrmann
